Surprise!

My friends, Judy and Jen, and I had a retirement for our friend, Mary Ann. She was really surprised!!! We had lots of good food to eat, and spirits of all sorts, and plenty of conversation and we stayed up late!! I was happy to see my friends of many years ago and we were able to catch up.

I call retirement going to the "dark side" because at first, it is scary.....not having the same lifestyle and making the adjustment. But, I've been retired for 10 years now and can't imagine the "other life!" After you retire, you find some perspective and it isn't really a "dark side" -- it just seems that way at first.

We all wish the very best for our friend. Things will change, but we will always be friends.......

MadLab

Here is a picture of the folks at MadLab in front of the newly purchased building at 227 North Third Street in Columbus, Ohio. MadLab is a theatre group that was organized about 12 years ago (don't hold me to the number of years). Our son, Greg, was one of the originals. They have evolved into a solid theatrical group and they promote creativity in many forms. We have watched over these years as the members have matured into a cohesive group. We have enjoyed many productions, my favorite is "Comrade Christmas" which was done many years ago.

By purchasing this new venue, it will enable them to have a storage facility and something I'm pretty excited about -- restrooms!!! One for men and one for women. In fact, I was so excited that I offered to help ~~ and I did. I painted RED -- the color for one of the restroom (men and women) walls!!!

If you want further information, I'd suggest you check out the website: http://www.madlab.net/
